Bohemian Romance – The Acre Boomerang Farm

We invited the lovely Johanna from Gold Coast styling business, Boho Luxe & Co, to put her magic touch on our newly revamped venue. She chats to us about the first styled shoot at our new venue, Bohemian Romance.

– What are three words to describe the style of this shoot?
Modern. Bohemian. Luxe.

– Talk us through the inspiration behind the style?
We are true lovers of earthy tones, pops of colour and are hopeless romantics at heart. We wanted to create something that felt true to us and that would sing to our fellow boho luxe brides to be.
There is something so timeless and elegant about a neutral colour palette with carefully considered tones; whether it’s a year from now or in a decade, you will still be in love with the style as you were on the day.
It was important to us that we worked with the venue and it’s existing fixtures to create a style and colour palette that felt like an extension of the venue.

– What did you love about working at The Acre?
The Acre was such a beautiful venue to work with. Set in amongst lush greenery that makes you feel like you’re miles away from anything. There are so many areas within the venue grounds that would allow you to take your guests on a journey.
The barn itself is such a beautiful blank canvas that boasts a neutral colour palette that allows for endless styling possibilities.

– What’s your top tip when it comes to styling in a barn venue, like The Acre?
To utilise and possibly even highlight what features it already has. Much like we did with the staircase that leads to a stage like platform at The Acre, instead of working against it we decided to showcase it for one of the many things it could be used for.
